Helping a Police Officer On a Mission Create Her Dream Website
As a small studio, we really love to work with companies and organizations that we believe in, and that inspire us. So when Altovise Love-Craighead came to us with her vision and dream of having a site to showcase her mission, we couldn’t have been more ready to give her just what she wanted!
Altovise is a Police Inspector with a major city police department with over 23 years experience. In 1997 her family’s world was shattered after her brother, Emir, was murdered. Since then she has made it her mission to help support others who have experienced similar trauma.
Trauma Informed Policing defines itself as protocols and policies that recognize and appropriately address the complexities of trauma experienced by survivors (and perpetrators) to prevent further traumatization and improve the impact of police intervention.
After hearing her story and experiences, we wanted to provide her with a site that not only can she be proud of, but also one that really gets her message and goals across. It’s a place where people can come to learn about her and how they can become better police officers. We started by creating a simple logo, and then moved on to designing a site that has a serious tone, accompanied by bright colors and bold fonts. The site features easy navigation, a clean layout, testimonial and informational sliders, and a blog page that highlights relevant news and events.
We hope that this site helps with her amazing mission!
