Helping a Nonprofit Expand Their Brand Through Stunning Slide Decks
We recently welcomed one of our newest clients to the Wyndetryst family; a nonprofit advocacy organization in Washington, D.C., The Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI). They came to us with the challenge of elevating the quality of their PowerPoint presentations.
Beginning a Partnership with a Nonprofit Organization
ISI was searching for a design partner who could take their presentation decks to the next level, and we jumped right in by learning more about the organization and reviewing their existing brand and communications materials. We also took time to understand what they liked, what they weren’t thrilled with, and how they typically presented their content. It was also crucial to learn their presentation style to ensure our designs would not only look good but function seamlessly for their presenters.
From there, we developed several design options that aligned with ISI’s existing brand elements. Even though they didn’t have a robust style guide in place, this wasn’t a problem for us. With just a logo and their website as inspiration, we were able to expand on their brand identity and create options that gave their presentations a more polished and professional look. Once they selected the approach they liked best, we set to work building out several presentation decks that balanced striking design with practical flexibility. We made sure ISI’s team could easily duplicate or adjust the templates in the future without needing to rely on us for last minute adjustments which are often the case with presentations.
Designing Complex Data in Easy to Read Visuals
For the more complex slides, we agreed it was important to prioritize quality design, knowing that they could always come back to us for updates, which we are able to turn around fairly quickly. ISI had a moderate budget for this project, but we pride ourselves on helping organizations, especially nonprofits, stretch their budgets as far as possible. We were able to deliver a range of high-quality decks within their budget, and they were so pleased with the results that they immediately sent us a few more projects.
Although we’ve only just begun this partnership with ISI, we’re excited about the future. This project is a perfect example of how we like to start new relationships—with one high-impact project that has been on a client’s “wish list” for a while. It gives us the opportunity to prove our value with minimal risk, and it allows the client to see if we’re the right fit without the need for long-term commitments. We believe in earning our clients’ trust, project by project, and we’re looking forward to many more opportunities to help ISI expand and elevate their brand.
